Yesterday with great resolve I packed my gym bag, packed my lunch and headed to work. Then, le Boss corrupted me by suggesting lunch. So I went. And I regret. I had a wonderful fettucine alfredo which made me sick for the rest of the afternoon. I came home after work and went into a comatose state for a few hours. Then I got up – still comatose and still quite unwell.

A night has passed between me and the Fettucine Alfredo From Hell and my stomach is still making and feeling loud rumbles of discontent.

I shoulda went to the gym.

So it begins…

Dedication to the gym.

Will she pull it off? Time will tell.

I want to hit the gym the three days I’m in school Fall term. To do so, I need to get into the zone of working out regularly. Morning is not an option. I’m not a morning person. My workouts in the morning are half-assed and my energy is sapped throughout the day. Hitting the gym after work never happens. First, my energy is gone. Second, I always have errands to run after work (grocery store, etc.). The gym is always the first “to do” to drop off the list.

So it’s gotta be during lunch. I belong to 24 Hour Fitness and they have a gym located one block from my office. This is the optimal time to work out. I’ll shift my lunch around a little to avoid the hordes of professionals hitting the gym exactly at noon. This will also avoid spending money on lunch and force me to pack a lunch.

The only difficulty is trying to get it all done in an hour (I MUST shower after a work out). I may run 15 minutes over. I’ll just have to make it up in the morning or afternoon.

This must happen.

So how many book deals came out of today’s Michael Jackson verdict? I can practically hear the checks being filled out.

It’s odd seeing the laid-out Pope all over the internet. When the last Pope died, we didn’t have such an immediate connection to the media.

I admired the Pope. Within his paradigm, he was quite progressive. I’ve been reading on discussion boards that he really shoulda done something about the church’s stance on abortion, contraception, and women in the clergy.

Not.Going.To.Happen. This is the centuries old RC Church people! I’m satisfied with his accomplishments nonetheless.

This weekend has been an utter failure as a law student. For some reason I could not keep my eyes open. I had insomnia issues last week, so perhaps this is just the final knock-down. Hey, at least I’m sleeping!

My finals begin the last week of April. I’m already working on my final open memo. This weekend my task was to complete all of the research for my open memo – didn’t happen. But, I have quite a lot done, so I refuse to panic (at least for now).

An actual post.

Stand by. Maybe tomorrow sometime.

I’m playing with “enhancing” some shots of this year’s amarllyis. It’s much more fun than studying. But alas, I must leave my muse behind and head for the library soon.

I re-opened comments because I’m too lazy to install the plug-in. The plug-in I like is S-code. But, it requires too much thought to install (not that it’s that tricky – I’m just not in the mood).

Immediately upon re-opening comments I got an e-mail telling me a comment is pending from the same freakin’ spammer (who I will not give the honor of naming). Same old routine. Ban the IP (this particular piece of trash must have a hundred IPs) and delete the pending comment. This particular spammer is just a bunch of gobblygook linking urls that don’t exist.

Anyone have any hints on how to eradicate this piece of crap spammer?

In other news, I’m dreading the start of Spring term. Not that I dislike law school, I actually enjoy law school. But working my first year is admittedly kicking my butt. I would forego working if it was an option, but it is not. This term I can’t work out my hours to take a day off from the office. To get in my 20 hours, I have to go into the office every day for some period of time. Not pretty. This will require rigid discipline on my part for four months.

Self-discipline is not a strong point with me. Do I feel a New Year Resolution tapping me on the shoulder?

I’m getting hit with a persistent spammer. None of the spam made it to the blog since I require comments on older posts be approved by moi. But, I’m being nagged to death by my e-mail telling me that the mindless robot is on a campaign to spam my site. So, I’ve shut down comments for now. I’m going to go find a cool plugin that I saw recently and try it out.

Just to be annoying, I’m not changing my html, so it will appear that I take comments, but I really don’t. To be honest, I don’t feel like changing my template when comments will be re-opened shortly (I hope) once I find that nifty plugin I liked.

Until then, talk amongst yourselves.

I’m getting out of dodge for a few days. Hope everyone has a great holiday break.

A Perfect Circle has put together a stunning remake of John Lennon’s Imagine. The video is here.

I’m just saying.

For anyone who likes this rendition, but isn’t familiar with A Perfect Circle (unbelievable), it’s on their latest CD, eMOTive.
